Applesauce Raisin Bran Coffee Cake recipe

1 c. flour, all purpose, sifted
3 ts. baking powder
1/2 ts. salt
1/2 ts. cinnamon, fresh ground if you can
1/4 ts. cloves, ground
1/4 ts. nutmeg
1/4 c. sugar
1 c. all bran cereal
1 c. applesauce, unsweetened
1 egg
1/4 c. oil
1/2 c. raisins
Topping:
1/4 sugar
1/2 ts. cinnamon, fresh ground if you can

Sift together first 7 ingredients.
Combine cereal with applesauce, egg, oil and raisins; let stand until most of moisture is taken up, about 5minutes.
Beat well.
Add dry ingredients, stirring only until combined.
Spread into sprayed 8 x 8 inch pan.
Combine sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over surface of cake.
Bake at 400* for about 25 minutes or until done.
