Authentic Hungarian Sour Cream Cole Slaw recipe

INGREDIENTS

1 head cabbage
1/2 small onion
2 Tb. green pepper, chopped
3 Tb. good, white vinegar
16 oz. sour cream (or less)
1 ts. sugar
1/2 ts. salt, about

METHOD

Slice cabbage into slaw and place in bowl.
Mince the onion and add to cabbage.
Add the rest of the ingredients.
Wash hands and take off rings.
Mix and squeeze the slaw so it makes some juice.
This will make the slaw limp.
Taste, add more salt if needed.
Add more vinegar if more "bite" is wanted.
Sprinkle paprika on top for beauty.
Refrigerate until serving time.
Good the next day also.

Note: Start out with 8-12 oz of sour cream to acquire desired consistency.
Play around with the sugar content, depending on if you want the slaw to be sweeter.
Makes 4-6 servings.
