Baked Mushroom Chicken recipe |
INGREDIENTS |
4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves
1/4 c. flour
3 Tb. butter, divided
1 c. mushrooms, fresh, sliced
1/2. c. chicken broth
1/4. ts. garlic powder
1/4 ts. salt
1/8 ts. pepper
1/3 c. mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/ c. parmesan cheese, grated
1/4 c. green onions, sliced |

METHOD |
Flatten each chicken piece to 1/4 inch thickness.
Coat each chicken piece in flour.
In a large frying pan, heat butter and brown chicken on both sides.
Place in a greased 11 x 7 baking dish.
In the same frying pan, saute mushrooms in remaining butter until tender.
Add broth and spices.
Bring to a boil; cook for five minutes or until liquid is reduced to half cup.
Spoon over chicken.
Bake uncovered at 375* for 15 minutes.
Sprinkle with cheeses and onions.
Bake 5 minutes longer until chicken juices run clear. |
