Baked Strawberry Pie recipe


INGREDIENTS

pastry for double 9" crust
4 c. strawberries, fresh
1 c. sugar
4 Tb. cornstarch
1 Tb. lemon juice
1 Tb. butter


METHOD

Wash and hull berries; cut in half if very large.
Add sugar and cornstarch to berries; mix gently.
Turn into pastry lined pie plate.
Sprinkle with lemon juice and dot with butter.
Cover with second crust, making a few cuts on top.
Sell edges well and flute.
Bake in 425* oven(on rack below center of oven) for 15 minutes.
Reduce heat to 350* and bake for 45 minutes longer or until filling has thickened.
