Barley Mushroom Soup recipe |
INGREDIENTS |
1 c. mushrooms, celery and carrots
1 lg. onion
2 pkg. vegetable soup base
1/2 c. pearl barley
1/2 bunch fresh parsley, chopped
2 bay leaves
1/4 ts. thyme
3-5 garlic cloves

METHOD |
Put all ingredients in a pot with enough water to cover.
Cover and bring to a boil, then turn down heat and simmer slowly until vegetables and barley are tender, about 1 hour. |
