Basic White Sauce recipe |
INGREDIENTS |
2 Tb. butter
2 Tb. flour
1/2 ts. salt
1 c. milk, warm
other seasonings as
desired |

METHOD |
Melt butter in saucepan, then add the flour, stirring continuously over medium heat until mix begins to bubble.
Now gradually stir in the milk until smooth and desired thickness is achieved.
Then add your seasonings as desired.
Makes 1 cup.
For a thinner white sauce, reduce flour and butter to 1 Tb. each.
For a thicker sauce, increase flour and butter to 3 Tb.
each.
For Alfredo sauce, add garlic and onion powder, as well as Parmesan cheese as desired. |
