Berry Delicious Tart recipe


INGREDIENTS

1 c. flour
1/3 c. + 1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter, cold
1/2 c. strawberry jam, seedless
1 pkg. cream cheese, softened (8 oz.)
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 ts. vanilla
2 c. fresh or frozen mixed berries, thawed and drained

Topping:
3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
1/3 c. old fashioned oats
1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. butter, cold


METHOD

In a small bowl, combine flour and 1/3 cup sugar; cut in butter until crumbly.
Press into bottom and up 1 inch sides of greased 9 inch spring form pan.
Place pan on baking sheet.
Bake at 375* for 8-10 minutes until lightly browned.
Cool.
Spread jam over crust.
In a small bowl, beat cream cheese and remaining sugar until smooth.
Add egg and vanilla; beat on low speed just until combined.
Pour over jam and sprinkle with berries.
In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and oats; cut in butter until crumbly.
Sprinkle over filling.
Bake at 375* for 30-35 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
Cool on rack for 10 minutes.
Carefully run a knife around edges of pan to loosen; cool for 30 minutes.
Serve warm or cold.
Makes 12 servings.
