Biscuits recipe |
INGREDIENTS |
1-1/2 c. flour, all purpose
1 Tb. baking powder
1 Tb. sugar
1 ts. salt
1/2 c. milk
1/3 c. soft lard, shortening or butter |

METHOD |
Preheat oven to 425*.
In a medium bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.
Make a well in the center and add milk and lard.
Stir with a fork only until well blended.
Turn onto lightly floured surface and knead 6-8 times.
Pat out 1/2 inch thick and cut out 1 3/4 inch biscuits.
Place on ungreased baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden.
Serve hot.
Makes 13-14 biscuits. |
