INGREDIENTS

ounces to grams: Multiply ounce figure by 28.3 to get number of grams

grams to ounces: Multiply gram figure by .0353 to get number of ounces

Dash less than 1/8 ts.

1 1/2 ts. = 1/2 Tb.

3 ts. = 1 Tb.

2 Tb. = 1/8 cup
(1 oz.)

4 Tb. = 1/4 cup
(2 oz.)

8 Tb. = 1/2 cup
(4 oz.)

12 Tb. = 3/4 cup
(6 oz.)

16 Tb. = 1 cup
(8 oz.)

1 cup = 1/2 pint



METHOD

all purpose flour sifted: 4 cups=1 pound

bread: 4 slices=1 cup crumbs

brown sugar: 2 1/4 cups=1 pound

cake flour: 4 1/2 cups=1 pound

cheese ungrated: 1 ounce=1/4 cup grated

cheese ungrated: 2 ounces=1/2 cup grated

cheese ungrated: 4 ounces=1 cup grated

egg whites: 8 to 10=1 cup

egg yolks: 12 to 14=1 cup

graham crackers: 14 crackers=1 cup crumbs

icing sugar: 3 1/2 to 4 cups=1 pound

macaroni: 1 to 1 1/4 cups=2 cups cooked

saltine crackers: 28=1 cup

spaghetti: 7 ounces=4 cups cooked

unwhipped cream: 1 cup=2 cups whipped

vanilla wafers: 22-1 cup crumbs

white sugar: 2 cups=1 pound

whole wheat flour unsifted: 3 1/2 cups=1 pound
