Garlic Fried Fiddleheads recipe |
INGREDIENTS |
1 lb. fiddle heads OR
1 pkg. fiddle heads, frozen 300 g
1/4 c. butter
6 garlic cloves, finely chopped
2 shallots, finely chopped
1 Tb. soya sauce
1 ts. sugar, granulated
3 Tb. white wine |

METHOD |
Shake fresh fiddle heads in a paper bag until brown skins come off.
Steam fresh or frozen, thawed fiddle heads until just tender.
Meanwhile, saute garlic and shallots in butter until softened.
Blend in soy sauce, sugar and wine.
Add steamed fiddle heads, turning to coat them well in sauce.
Serve at once.
Makes 4 servings.
