Italiano Marinara recipe |
INGREDIENTS |
2 Tb. olive oil
1/2 c. onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
28 oz. tomatoes, undrained
2 Tb. parsley
2 ts. oregano
1/2 ts. salt
3 c. tri-colored pasta
1 c. mozzarella cheese, shredded

METHOD |
In 2 quart saucepan, add oil and cook onion and garlic until tender, but not brown.
Stir in tomatoes with liquid and spices.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally to break up tomatoes, 15-20 minutes.
Meanwhile, cook pasta and drain.
Toss pasta with sauce and place in 1 quart casserole.
Top with cheese and broil for 3 minutes.
Makes 4-6 servings. |
