Kentucky Biscuits recipe


INGREDIENTS

1-1/2 c. flour
1 Tb. baking powder
1 Tb. sugar
1 ts. salt
1/2 c. milk 1/3 c. butter


METHOD

Preheat oven to 450*.
In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.
Make a well in the center of mixture and add milk and butter.
Stir with a fork only until well mixed.
Turn onto lightly floured surface and knead 6-8 times.
Pat out 1/2 inch thick and cut out 1-3/4 inch rounds.
Place on ungreased baking sheet.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
Makes 13-14 biscuits.
