Mini Cheese Biscuits recipe |
INGREDIENTS |
2 c. flour, all purpose
4 ts. baking powder
1 Tb. sugar
1/2 ts. salt
1/c. shortening OR butter, chilled
3/4 c. cheddar cheese, shredded
1 egg
1/3 c. milk |

METHOD |
Stir together flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. cut in shortening or butter until mixture resembles crumbs.
Stir in cheese.
Beat together egg and milk.
Add flour mix until just combined.
Turn out dough onto floured board and knead 20 times.
Roll to 1/2 inch thickness.
Cut with floured 2 inch round cutter.
Re-roll craps once.
Place on greased cookie sheet and bake at 450* about 10 minutes or until puffed and light golden.
Immediately remove from sheet.
Makes 2 dozen. |
