Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Bars recipe


INGREDIENTS

2/3 c. flour
1/3 c. rolled oats, quick cooking
1 ts. baking powder
1/8 ts. salt
1/4 c. butter
3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
1 egg
1/2 ts. vanilla
1/2 c. nuts, chopped
1/2 c. chocolate chips


METHOD

Preheat oven to 350*.
Spray a 13 x 9 inch baking pan.
In a medium bowl, stir together first 4 ingredients; set aside.
In a medium saucepan, melt butter; remove from heat.
Stir in brown sugar.
Add egg and vanilla; beat until well combined.
Stir flour mixture, nuts and chocolate chips into sugar mixture.
Spread into baking pan.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until done.
Cool.
Cut into bars.
Makes 24 bars.
